Other Materials: [Readings to enhance understanding specific content throughout the semester will be provided by the instructor and announced via Canvas. Research suggests that handwritten notes support learning, comprehension, and retention. While I highly encourage writing utensils and a notepad/paper/printed PowerPoint slides, I understand that we all learn differently. Tablets and laptops are permitted for notetaking. However, please keep your phones stored away, as those devices, more often than not, serve other purposes than notetaking. You also will need a calculator for in-class activities, movement activities, case studies, and the case study project. ]

For example, 89.3% will earn you a B+, while 89.6% will earn you an A. Canvas may display two decimal points. The same rule will apply to the second decimal point.]
Attendance and Make-Up Policy
[
- You may re-submit any assignment that you completed sufficiently (min. of 16 pts for Assignment Completion) AND on time for better scores ONCE. This must be done within one week of the graded assignment being handed back to you.
- Late work or in-class work you turn in or make up without prior notification will receive a 10% grade deduction for each day it is late, for up to ONE WEEK. After a week late, the assignment will not be graded.
- Movement activities cannot be made up. However, if you cannot make it to a session, you must disclose this before the scheduled movement activity to be eligible for completing a activity report for credit. If you do this, certain circumstances may allow you to complete the work with no point/grade deduction.
- Any missed movement activities (without prior notice of any sort) will make you ineligible to complete a report. Thus, you will earn a 0.
- Any missed movement activities due to a university-sponsored event, military obligations, religious accommodation, or illness/sickness (with prior notice!) will mean you miss a hands-on learning experience, but you remain eligible for an activity report credit. However, the report due date will not be adjusted, and it will be your responsibility to gather the necessary information and data to complete the report
